Ypsilanti police have arrested three men they say punched a man and held him down while they stole property from his home.
Detective Sgt. Thomas Eberts said Anthony and Antonio Stubblefield, twin brothers, and David Beck II have been charged with first-degree home invasion and unarmed robbery. Beck was the last of the three to turn himself in and was arraigned on Wednesday.
The three men are accused of knocking on the door of a home at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 28 in the 500 block of North Hamilton Street and punching a 23-year-old man when he answered the door. One of the men held the resident down while the other two went through the home, Eberts said.
A Macbook laptop, some cash and a backpack were stolen from the home, Eberts said. The men attempted to steal an iPhone and more cash but dropped the items at the scene, allowing them to be recovered, Eberts said.
The Stubblefields are lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail. Eberts said Beck was released on a $30,000 personal recognizance bond and has a preliminary exam scheduled for Dec. 18.
The 23-year-old resident did not require medical treatment.
