50 programs awarded grants through U-M's MCubed program

In a live-tweeted lottery Wednesday morning, 50 projects were awarded $60,000 micro-grants by the University of Michigan program MCubed, according to a news release.

See a list of the funded projects here.

In addition to these first grants, the $15 million, two-year pilot-program will be giving out 200 more grants soon. The program's purpose is to jumpstart innovative, interdisciplinary work.

According to the release, funding for MCubed comes from the Provost's Office, individual schools, colleges and units and other outlets.
