Michael Goodwin, a manager at Scorekeepers, said the man also roughly grabbed the hand of another manager, breaking two fingers. Goodwin said the man had become unruly outside the bar, and the manager had gone outside to try to calm him down when the incident occurred.
In the second incident, a 22-year-old Ypsilanti woman was arrested about 1:45 a.m. after she fought with a bouncer and spit in an Ann Arbor police officer’s face, police said.
Police were called to the Necto bar at 516 E. Liberty St. and upon arriving saw a woman hitting a man with her fists outside the bar and saw him push her away, causing her to fall to the ground.
As officers were arresting her, she refused to cooperate, they said, and spit in an officer's face as they escorted her to the patrol car.
The bouncer, a 25-year-old man, told police the woman fought with staff inside the bar and began hitting him as he escorted her outside. The woman was held at the Washtenaw County jail.
