An Eastern Michigan University student faces a charge of sexually assaulting an incapacitated person after a warrant was filed for his arrest Monday.
An 18-year-old man faces one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct of an incapacitated person for the Nov. 6 incident at Wise Residence Hall. Police said the man, whose listed address is at Wise Hall, entered a room at the dorm and touched a sleeping man in a sexual way.
Police said the man was asleep when the 18-year-old entered through an unlocked door. Another man was sleeping in the room when the suspect entered.
AnnArbor.com will release the man’s name once he has been arraigned. EMU Police Chief Bob Heighes said Monday police are trying to get in touch with the man in order to get him to turn himself in.
In November, Heighes told AnnArbor.com the suspect maintained his innocence and denied any sexual assault took place.
