A 52-year-old Ann Arbor man reported Wednesday that he suspects a repair person of stealing a handgun from his house at some point in November, police said.

The gun was locked in a case at the man's home, in the 2500 block of Oak Hills Drive. The man believes the gun went missing between Nov. 14 and 18, according to Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush. The man didn't report the larceny until Wednesday, however.

He told police there had been various repair people in the house working on plumbing and the furnace in the time span the gun is believed to have gone missing. The handgun is described as a Kimber stainless II .45 semi-auto 1911-style gun, according to police.

There are no suspects at this time.
