Northfield Township police are investigating a home invasion that is believed to have occurred between the hours of 6:20 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. Thursday in the 6500 block of Hellner Road.
The front door was forced open and cash and jewelry were taken, according to a release from Northfield Township police.
A neighbor reported seeing a suspicious vehicle earlier in the week. The person was described as a white man in his early-to-mid 20s driving an older teal-colored van, possibly a Dodge Caravan, going door-to-door trying to sell cleaning supplies.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Northfield Township Police Department at (734) 449-9911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
