A 21-year-old Detroit man suffered multiple gunshot wounds in a shooting incident Sunday night in Ypsilanti, police said.
He is in stable condition at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township, Ypsilanti police said in a press release.
A suspect has been identified but has not been arrested.
Police responded to the 400 block of Worden Street for a report of shots fired at 11:12 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, investigators discovered the suspect had fled, and the victim had been taken to the hospital by witnesses.
The suspect has been identified by witnesses as a 22-year-old Ypsilanti man, police said. They said the victim and suspect are acquaintances.
The weapon was a small-caliber semi-automatic handgun, police said.
