The inspection of all fireworks coming into the city of Saline will now be taken over by the Saline Area Fire Department, according to a story on the Saline Reporter.
As the local inspection agency, the new protocol will allow the fire department to keep revenue of up to 80 percent of the permanent and temporary license.
The department will inspect all consumer fireworks sales facilities, including those that are permanent or temporary, the story said.
