Overnight rain continued into Friday morning across much of Washtenaw County, part of a warming trend that will continue all weekend.

Rainfall could reach 0.2 inches, according to forecasts. It may taper off by mid-morning, but could pick up again in the afternoon.

Friday's high is forecast at 54, with an even-warmer Saturday likely: the high on Saturday could reach 59, when partly sunny skies also are forecast.

However, Friday morning's temperature at 6 a.m. was 35 in Ann Arbor, leaving some lingering risk of slick roadways.

Tonight's low is likely to remain in the low 40s, removing likelihood of rain icing on roads and bridges.

Winds could reach 20 mph on both Friday and Saturday, with gusts up to 30 mph possible Saturday.

More-typical winter weather returns Sunday, with a high of 37 and low of 21 forecast.

The normal high for Jan. 11 is 32, while the normal low is 19.
