Interested in learning about corporate finance? Statistics? Information studies?
You can now download five University of Michigan courses to your iPhone, iPad or iPod to peruse at your own pace.The courses are free. They can be downloaded using the iTunes U app, a program that offers free education content. They're also available online at Open.Michigan.
Courses for download include:
- Corporate Finance for Health Care Administrators
- Introduction to Information Studies
- Introduction to Statistics and Data Analysis
- Laboratory Methods for Clinical Microbiology
- Structures 2
The courses are part of a growing trend to offer university content free online. U-M is already participating in Coursera, an online platform that allows universities, including Stanford and Princeton, to offer free courses online to anyone. U-M also made the Epistles of St. Paul, one of the school's oldest artifacts, available for download on Apple devices.
