The sheriff's office issued a Nixle alert around 11:55 p.m. Sunday after 3-month-old Soloman Emmanuel Brandon was taken about 7 p.m. by his mother from a home 9000 block of Ascot Drive. Deputies said the mother is not the caretaker of the child and did not have permission to take him.

Police said Monday morning they located and arrested the biological parents, 21-year-old Rachel McPherson and 22-year-old Derris Brandon. Soloman was found safe and unharmed.

Deputies said McPherson took Soloman from his biological grandmother. On Sunday, she was last seen on foot in the MacArthur Boulevard area of Superior Township.

More details will be released as the investigation continues.
