The Ypsilanti Jaycees are planning a cash mob on Friday at The Rocket in downtown Ypsilanti.

A cash mob is an organized shopping event where a group of people shop at a specific store all at once.
Jaycees member and cash mob organizer Rose Peruski told the Courier she was inspired by similar cash mobs that had taken place in Cleveland.
The group will "mob" The Rocket, 122 W. Michigan Ave., Friday at 6 p.m. and at 7 p.m., participants will move to Sticks, 39 E. Cross St., in Depot Town.
