Ann Arbor resident George Papadopoulos, founder of Novi-based Fee Only Wealth Management, has joined other wealth managers and economic advisors in a new Wall Street Journal streaming-blog called “The Experts.”
According to the introduction to the blog, the “experts” are “an exclusive group of industry and thought leaders who will engage in in-depth online discussions of topics.”

Papadopoulos said he was approached about two months ago by the Wall Street Journal asking him to participate in their new venture.
“How did they find me for this? I don’t really know,” he said. “But it was a very welcome surprise.”
The WSJ were very tight-lipped about their plans for the new feature, even with the experts.
“I had no idea who the other experts would be until the site went live on Monday,” Papadopoulos said.
“I was surprised to see that some of them were very prominent people What I bring to the table is that I’m a full time practicing wealth manager and I bring that perspective. I am also a solo practitioner so I bring the actual in-the-trenches experience.”
So far, each of the experts have been asked to answer three questions for the blog. Papadopoulos said he’s excited about the opportunity for national exposure but doesn’t know how much time he’ll be able to put towards it.
“I need to get a handle on how much they’re going to want me to write,” he said.
“Because tax season is almost here.”
