Scattered power outages on Ann Arbor’s north side and east of the city left more than 2,400 DTE Energy customers without power and affected traffic signals before being restored Monday.

Ann Arbor police Lt. Jim Baird confirmed a power outage was affecting traffic lights in the area of Plymouth Road and Green Road. DTE Energy spokesman Scott Simons said the power was restored and the outage was caused by a downed power line.

It's unknown what caused the power line to fall, Simons said.

The DTE Energy outage map showed the outage affected areas east of US 23 in Ann Arbor and a large swath of Ann Arbor Township and Superior Township.

The largest stretch of affected area went north from Dixboro Road and Laurel View Drive to Dixboro Road north of Joy Road and from Domino’s Farms east to an area slightly west of M-14 and Curtis Road.

According to the University of Michigan Police, the power outage is affecting the East Ann Arbor Medical Campus, North Campus, North Campus Research Complex and North Campus Region Zone.

Update at 11:51 a.m.: The University of Michigan Police said power was restored to the Arbor Lakes, Botanical Gardens and Auxiliary Services buildings. Power is still out at the NCRC.

Update at 2:40 p.m.: As of 2 p.m. Monday, all power was restored to U-M.
