The case against a 25-year-old man charged in the July 10 shooting at the Huron Ridge Apartments was adjourned until next week at a hearing Tuesday.

Christopher Tillison, 25, was in court at the 14A-1 District Court for a preliminary exam Tuesday morning that was adjourned until 8:30 a.m. Aug. 7, records show. Tillison is charged with three counts of armed robbery and one count each of assault with intent to murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Tillison, an Ypsilanti resident, was placed on parole just three months before the alleged shooting. He has seven previous convictions stemming from incidents in 2009, 2007 and 2005.
He’s being held in the Washtenaw County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond. If convicted, he faces a maximum of life in prison on the armed robbery and assault with intent to murder charges.
Two men were seriously injured in the incident in the 300 block of Bedford Drive. One man was shot in the knee and a car hit another man soon after the shooting.
It’s still unclear what happened inside the apartment — deputies aren’t releasing the exact sequence of events — and investigators are still looking for a second suspect.
The Ypsilanti Township man who was shot in the incident was driven to the hospital by the 31-year-old man who had been hit by a car. That man was then taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital by Huron Valley Ambulance personnel.
