Someone forced their way into a Scio Township home and stole a camera, laptop and cash during the late morning hours Friday, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s office Sgt. Geoffrey Fox said Monday deputies responded Friday to the home in the 2700 block of East Delhi Road for a report of a home invasion. Investigators believe the break-in occurred during the late morning hours Friday, but it’s unknown exactly what time the home was entered.
Fox said an intruder, or intruders, broke into the home and ransacked it, apparently looking for items to steal. At this point, the camera, laptop and money are the only items reported stolen.
Investigators do not have a suspect description to release at this time.
