University of Michigan Police are investigating two home invasions in the Northwood Community Apartments where doors were kicked in, according to a crime alert sent out Thursday.
The home invasions occurred between 8 p.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Wednesday at two separate apartments in the 1700 block of Murfin Avenue, police said.
Someone kicked in the doors to two apartments and rummaged through the residences. It’s unknown if any items were stolen at this point, police said.
According to a tweet sent out by the department, the incident is similar to off-campus break-ins reported recently. Five home invasions have been reported in Ann Arbor this week.
