The calendar says it will be spring in two days, but Mother Nature is giving us nothing that looks like a seasonal warming.

Perhaps we can take solace in this: Snow falling in the Ann Arbor area Monday morning won’t amount to much in the way of accumulation, the National Weather Service says.

An umbrella will likely come in handy Monday to shield against various forms of precipitation.

The snow may mix with sleet before 4 p.m. Then it will switch to rain, possibly mixed with snow and sleet. Forecasters expect less than half an inch of accumulation during the day.

The high temperature will be near 36 degrees, but it’s likely to feel colder than that with winds gusting to 26 mph.

Rain, snow showers and sleet are likely before midnight. Then there’s a slight chance of snow showers after 5 a.m. The low is expected to be around 24. Little or no accumulation is expected. It will continue to be breezy with winds gusting to 22 mph.

Snow showers are likely Tuesday, mainly after 10 a.m. It will be cloudy with a high near 31 and windy, with gusts near 40 mph. Snow accumulation of less than a half-inch is expected.

When spring officially arrives, at about 7 a.m. Wednesday, we can expect more winter-like weather, with scattered snow showers, breezy conditions and a high of 29 degrees.
