Ann Arbor firefighters responded to the 1500 block of Pauline on Saturday morning to fight a blaze in the vacant apartments there that soon will be demolished.
From Ann Arbor Fire Chief Chuck Hubbard
The fire call came in at about 6:22 a.m., according to Ann Arbor Police.
Firefighters have spent time at the site: They also trained there in late September, using the vacant property for various firefighting exercises.
The property is owned by Avalon Housing, which plans to develop 32 new affordable housing units and a community center on the site, located just east of Arbordale on the city's west side.
