Why not spend Earth Day at a place in a natural setting among flora and fauna? It only makes sense.
The Leslie Science and Nature Center will hold an Earth Day Festival that will feature displays from 40 local environmental, non-profit, and governmental organizations; live animal demonstrations and many other activities and displays.Dress up the kids as their favorite animal, plant or bug for the All-Species Parade at 3:15 p.m. There will also be the opportunity to recycle toner cartridges and small electronics. Check the LSNC website at www.leslisnc.org to see what they will take. Attendees can also bring toys and home products to test for toxic chemicals.
