A man looking for his girlfriend ended up beating up her roommate when he learned the woman he wanted to see wasn’t home, Ann Arbor police said Monday.
Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said a 49-year-old Ann Arbor man went to the apartment in the 700 block of Miller Avenue at 10 p.m. Saturday. Bush said the man asked the 51-year-old woman at the home if his girlfriend was home and she said no.The man then became irate and grabbed the woman, throwing her to the ground, Bush said. The man punched her in the face and grabbed her hair. The assault continued until the woman began screaming and the man ran back to his own apartment, Bush said.
The man was gone by the time police arrived. The woman reported minor injuries to police.
