Ann Arbor police are investigating two break-ins and one attempted break-in that took place during the weekend, including an incident in which a tablet and laptop were swiped through an open window.
Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said that theft was reported at 1:32 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of High Street. Bush said a phone/tablet and a laptop were taken after someone removed a window frame.
The thief reached in, grabbed the items and took them off a desk. No one was home at the time, Bush said.
The attempted break-in took place between 1:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of North State Street. The door panels of the home were broken but nothing was taken. Police could not confirm entry was made into the home.
The final break-in took place between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Church Street. Someone went into the home through an unlocked from door and stole a backpack containing a calculator and a laptop, Bush said.
