Approximately $20 was stolen from a change machine on a copier in the Smith Law Library after a break-in sometime Sunday morning, police said.
Someone broke an exterior window and entered the library, 803 Monroe St., sometime between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the University of Michigan Department of Public Safety. An entrance gate to the lower level of the library was cut with bolt cutters, police said.
The change machine attached to a copy machine was forced open and about $20 was taken. No other damage or missing items were reported.
The incident is under investigation and police do not have any suspect information to release at this time.
