After forgiving late fees and penalties on more than 100 tickets during the past two months, the 14A and 14B District Courts are extending the amnesty program another month.
“We thought let’s go another month and see if we can give people a break,” he said.
The amnesty program forgives late fees and penalties on traffic and parking tickets before Dec. 31, 2011. The 14A and 14B District Courts have jurisdiction over much of Washtenaw County, aside from the city of Ann Arbor. The principle on the tickets still needs to be paid.
Only the $45 clearance fee for people whose driver’s licenses have been suspended must be paid.
