A 46-year-old Ann Arbor man was arrested Tuesday night after police say he exposed himself to two young women inside the DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse at Arborland Mall.

A 26-year-old Haslett woman and a 27-year-old Ann Arbor woman were shoe shopping in the 3600 block of Washtenaw Avenue just before 8:38 p.m. when the man approached them, Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said.

“He ... lifted his shorts, exposing his genitalia,” she said.

The man said nothing and walked out of the store. After a brief investigation, patrol officers found a suspect at a different location and he was placed under arrest. Bush said she could not elaborate on how the man was identified and caught because the matter is still under investigation.

The 46-year-old remains in custody at the Ann Arbor Police Department. Indecent exposure charges could be forthcoming, Bush said.
