A group of state lawmakers are coming to Washtenaw Community College for a change of scenery.
The Michigan House of Representatives Community College Subcommittee on Appropriations is holding its next meeting at the school, instead of the State Capitol Building in Lansing were meetings normally are held.
At the meeting, legislators will discuss funding for the state's 28 community colleges.
College president Rose Bellanca will testify during the meeting, which also will be attended by state senators for appropriations subcommittee. Ann Arbor democrat Adam Zemke is the minority vice-chair of the House subcommittee.
The public meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. Monday in room 150 of the Morris Lawrence building on WCC's campus.
