Police believe the circumstances surrounding the death of an 18-year-old man whose body was found in a wooded Ann Arbor area Sunday may be suspicious, officials said Monday.
The man's body was found near Eisenhower Parkway and Eisenhower Place around 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said.
“He was found by two individuals who reported it to police,” Bush added.
Police believe the death could be suspicious due to the man's young age, and because he was found in a wooded area without any identification. According to Bush, investigators were able to identify the man Monday, but were not releasing his name pending family notification.
Bush said the man's body was in the wooded area "less than a day or two." All the regular medical tests, including an autopsy, are pending, she added.
Police would not elaborate on the situation Monday beyond saying it was a sensitive case and still under investigation.
“(Detectives) are still chasing down leads,” Bush said. "(Everything) is still revealing itself."
