Traffic backed up on eastbound M-14 Wednesday morning after a man had a medical emergency while driving and needed treatment on the freeway, officials said.
Huron Valley Ambulance spokeswoman Joyce Williams said crews went at 7:34 a.m. Wednesday to eastbound M-14 west of Main Street after being notified of the emergency. Williams said the man did not get in a crash but his pickup truck was blocking traffic.
The nature of the medical emergency was not immediately clear.
Williams said the man was taken to University of Michigan Hospital emergency room in critical condition.
