The rainy weather forecast isn't likely to cancel the big Michigan-Michigan State game, but it's not exactly going to be sunshine and blue skies Saturday.

The same light showers in the Ann Arbor area Friday evening will linger into Saturday morning and afternoon before possibly moving along around 7 p.m., according to Sara Schultz, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service's White Lake office.

"We're looking at a chance of light rain or showers (for the 3:30 p.m. game start)," she said.

Temperatures will hover in the mid-50s.

Saturday's daytime forecast calls for overcast skies with a 40 percent chance of rain and of high of 54 with winds from the west at five to 15 miles per hour.

As the rain moves out of the area Saturday night, the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a low of 37.
