Negative portrayal of Mark Ouimet by Democrats disappointing

As a 23-year resident of Saline, I am quite familiar with both candidates for the 52nd State House seat and I give my full support to Mark Ouimet. Mark is a man of great character who has been an incredibly positive influence on this community.

I am very disappointed with the way the Democratic Party has falsely portrayed him.

I have never known an elected official who made such an effort to stay in touch with constituents. Whenever I have had the opportunity to speak with Mark, he really knows and understands what is going on in this district because he constantly is seeking input and making himself available. He plays no favorites in doing so, giving equal attention and credit to all sides of issues. Mark never loses sight of whom he represents and he loves serving his community.

His opponent has tried to portray Mark as anti-education because of his support of teacher retirement reform. This reform will save millions of dollars for schools and was endorsed by the Saline Area Schools Board of Education. Mark is working to put money where it is most needed: in the classroom.

In re-electing Mark Ouimet, we are ensuring our interests will be thoughtfully represented and fought for in Lansing. Mark’s record of leadership makes him the clear choice. Please join me in supporting Mark Ouimet.
