Ann Arbor police are investigating the discovery of a body found in a vehicle in a heavily wooded area near the Penske Truck Rental on Plymouth Road.
Shortly before noon Thursday, Sgt. Matt Lige said the investigation had just begun and there were no details on the incident at this point. He said police had been notified of a vehicle that ran off the road and it was discovered in a heavily wooded area Thursday morning with the deceased person inside. He said the car had been there for “a period of time” but he couldn’t speculate whether the incident was an accident or something else.
“We’re still piecing it together,” he said.
The scene was taped off and officers were actively investigating as of noon Thursday.
