The Dexter Board of Education likely will be accepting applications for a new superintendent come early January, according to a story on the Dexter Leader.
The board says for the remainder of this year, they plan on having an interim superintendent for the remainder of the year.
To help with the search, the story said the board will aim to hire the Michigan Leadership Institute, an organization that helps search for superintendent candidates and has helped in the past.
Current superintendent Mary Marshall told the Leader she expected they would go through the normal community process, including getting input from the community around December to narrow down what it is they are looking for.
"If everything goes like how we normally do it, I expect in early January we will post the position," she told the Leader.
