Companies are judged on the five-year period leading up to the release of the list, and between 2007 and 2011, LLamasoft’s revenues grew 389 percent.
“The companies on the Fast 500 list are among those that have demonstrated remarkable innovation, creativity and business savvy,” Bill Ribaudo, a partner at Deloitte & Touche, said in a statement. “As a result, these companies have continued to successfully forge ahead in a challenging economic environment.”
LLamasoft has been expanding its office space in downtown Ann Arbor for a number of years, and now controls two floors of the First National Bank building in downtown Ann Arbor as well as some office space on East Liberty Street above the future home of the restaurant Wafel.
LLamasoft recently closed a $6 million Series A venture capital round that included an investment from Nike as well as a commitment to a strategic partnership from the athletic gear giant. As the company’s revenues have grown, it has hired more people both in Ann Arbor and in satellite offices around the country and around the world.
In the past 24 months, LLamasoft has grown from about 40 to about 150 employees. While many of those are in Ann Arbor, the company has established presences on four other continents and is focused on continuing to grow its worldwide presence.
LLamasoft also was honored earlier this year with both a Deals of the Year award from AnnArbor.com in the technology sector as well as FastTrack recognition from Ann Arbor SPARK.
