The Ypsilanti Township man accused of fatally shooting a co-worker last month had his preliminary examination adjourned in the 14A-1 District Court Tuesday.
The examination for Leonard Ware, 34, was postponed until Nov. 30 as the prosecution and defense await the autopsy results, according to Steve Hiller of the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office.
Ware is accused of shooting and killing 29-year-old Bhagavan Allen, of Superior Township, following a dispute at Marsh Plating Corp., where they both worked. Allen died following the shooting at 4 p.m. Oct. 5 on South Grove Street near South Street in Ypsilanti.
Ware is charged with open murder, carrying a concealed weapon, being a felon in possession of a firearm and being in possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
