Two people broke into a 33-year-old Belleville woman’s car and stole a purse containing an $800 moneygram Sunday morning in Saline, according to a police report.
Witnesses told police a man and a woman dressed in gray hooded sweatshirts walked up to the green Ford parked outside the Saline Evangelical Home, 440 W. Russell St. from the area of Hollywood Drive and Mills Road.
One witness told police the duo smashed a window and stole a gray and white purse before running away from the area.
The woman told police the purse contained an $800 moneygram. The purse was estimated to cost about $50.
The two thieves were said to be in their late teens or early 20 and the woman was wearing black flip flops, according to witnesses.
