A University of Michigan student was robbed by a man with a knife around 11:30 p.m. Monday near Roosevelt and South Forest avenues, police said.
The U-M Police Department issued a crime alert Tuesday that said the student reported the incident to the Ann Arbor Police Department because the incident occurred off-campus.
The student told police he was approached by an unknown man wielding a knife who then robbed the student of a wallet with cash and an iPhone. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was not injured.
The suspect is described as a man of unknown race, about 6 foot tall with a slender build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
