The University of Michigan Health System has earned the National Research Corporation's 2012 Consumer Choice Award, according to a UMHS news release.
The title comes after being voted the best hospital in the Ann Arbor area for the 14th year in a row, and tying with Henry Ford Hospital for best Detroit-area hospital for the third year in a row.
The award is given based on preference from people living near the hospital as well as people living outside of the area. They also were chosen for having the best overall quality, doctors, nurses and reputation within their market.
