A cold front will bring windy conditions, falling temperatures and snow to the Ann Arbor area Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory in effect until 7 p.m. A strong west wind will gust to 45 mph throughout the day. The winds could make driving difficult, the weather service said, especially for high-profile vehicles, such as vans and SUVs, on north-south roads.
Snow showers are likely, mainly after noon, the weather service said, but accumulation will amount to no more than an inch.
The temperature stood at 34 degrees at 7:30 a.m., and it will grow colder as the day wears on, forecasters said, with the mercury dropping to about 23 by 4 p.m.
Temperatures will continue to fall Tuesday night with a low of 13 expected. Wind-chill values will be as low as 3 below zero, the weather service said. Snow showers are also possible.
Wednesday will bring a mostly cloudy day with a chance of scattered flurries after 7 a.m. The high temperature will be around 25 with wind-chill values as low as 4 below zero. It will be blustery with winds gusting to 28 mph.
