Pittsfield Township police are investigating a Thursday morning crash that sent one man to the hospital.

Police and fire personnel found the Belleville man pinned in his vehicle and unresponsive after they were dispatched to the two-car crash at 12:33 a.m. Thursday on Michigan Avenue between Carpenter and Crane roads.

Emergency personnel removed the man from the vehicle and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. He suffered minor injuries, police said in a press release about the crash.

Police closed Michigan Avenue between Carpenter and Crane until just before 3 a.m. Thursday to investigate.

The Belleville man was deemed to be at fault, and alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash, police said in the release.
