The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is looking into two burglary incidents that occurred Saturday on Ecorse Road in Ypsilanti Township.
Deputies were dispatched to 313 Ecorse at 6:25 a.m. for an alarm going off at Salem's Pharmacy, according to a release from the sheriff's office. The building was not broken into, though there was evidence of an unsuccessful attempt to break several windows with a brick.
At some point between Friday night and Saturday morning, a landscaping brick was used to successfully smash out a glass door at Quality Auto Repairs down the street at 95 Ecorse Road. A suspect or suspects took a cash register, which had no money in it.
"Common sense says they are related, but there is nothing to indicate or prove that," said Sgt. Geoff Fox of the sheriff's office.
There are no suspects in either incident at this time.
