Ypsilanti police arrested a 41-year-old man who allegedly "kicked" a 37-year-old Ypsilanti Township man off his bike and flashed a knife in attempt to steal the bike Wednesday evening.
Police were dispatched to Washtenaw Avenue and Ballard Street at 7:07 p.m. for the incident. According to a news release, the 37-year-old man was riding his bike down the street when the 41-year-old kicked him off to steal it.
When the victim resisted, the 41-year-old displayed a knife. The suspect was later apprehended. Ypsilanti police didn't have any other information about the incident Thursday afternoon, including where the 41-year-old man resided.
He's currently lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail and could face armed robbery charges.
