A 34-year-old Chelsea man was accused of drunken driving and leaving the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Webster Township Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies from the The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office were called to investigate the crash at 12:27 p.m. Tuesday at Dexter-Pinckney and Island Lake roads. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, including the one driven by the Chelsea man, but no one was injured.

Deputies were told the man fled northbound on Dexter Pinckney after the crash. Deputies found the vehicle unoccupied on Dexter-Pinckney Road near Wylie Road and found the man a short distance away.

Deputies arrested the man on suspicion of leaving the scene of a property-damage crash and operating while intoxicated.
